Trip Highlights
Lying at the confluence of streams arising from the Sheshnag Lake and the Lidder river, Pahalgam has a number of attractions to touch the hearts of travellers and visitors. The beautiful town has today emerged as one of the premier hill resorts in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is perched at an elevation of 2240 m, surrounded by steep verdant hills.
From Pahalgam to Sikargah to Gukhyan to Zadinag and back to Pahalgam:
This day trip takes in total six hours. It takes one hour to reach Sikargah. Here are many gypsy families living during summer months. In mud houses. Here the stream flows singing all the time to welcome the tourists. The water is transparent from shikargah. It takes us two hours to reach Gukhyan. One sweats well in in reaching to the paradise Gukhyan. Hre sky seems very close. We enjoy the height. We can also pitch a tent and enjoy the night. Here we can harvest and lunch.
From Gukhyan it takes an hour to reach to Zadinag. Here a spring comes out which runs in a serpentine manner giving us a lot of joy. From Zadinag it takes two hours to reach Pahalgam.
